We offer a full range of plumbing and heating services across Sussex. We are a family run business who have been trading for over 40 years offering an honest, reliable and professional service. Services we offer are here
We are based on the Hove/Portslade border in Boundary Road where we occupy two shop fronts for our clients to visit us and provide complete peace of mind.
We also have a Worthing premises based in Teville Road, Worthing.
We are accredited installers for all major boiler manufacturers, however, we also have a wealth of experience on all brands of appliances and regularly install and maintain a wide selection of brands.
Touching on nearly 100 years of combined experience across our team means there is not often scenarios that we have not come across.
The Team
Matthew Dorrington
Company Director and Engineer
Matthew came into the business over the course of many years, learning initially in small phases while still in school education and eventually joining full time in 2006. Since this point Matthew has gained many years of experience, initially excelling in college and finishing a 3 year course in 2 years, before then taking advantage of multiple manufacturers courses to enhance his technical skillset while still gaining real world experience with his father Andrew. He excels at beating the unbeatable, Matthew has the attitude that there is always a way to fix and solve every problem, it's just a matter of finding the way. Highly skilled in fault diagnosis from underfloor heating and boiler issues right through to plumbing issues. Trained in renewables, solar and heat pumps as well as being F Gas Certified for Air Conditioning installations.
Skilled in energy efficiency, optimisation and understanding energy tariffs to be able to offer clients advice on suitable systems or tariffs for their requirements.
Matthew primarily now focuses his time on providing customers with the absolute best outcomes for their requirements while continually guiding and training the site teams to provide the best level of care and expertise.
Rachel Morgan
Office Manager
Rachel (Matthews sister) joined the business in 2011 when we had recently opened our Hove shop.
Rachel has an eye for attention, not only in the office work which she carries out but also in the design phases of some of our projects. Rachel often discusses pipework routing, bathroom colours and designs with customers in the shop, guiding them through our range of suppliers to help them choose the best items for their projects.
Known for her unparalleled customer service and can-do attitude.
Andrew Dorrington
Company founder and Senior Engineer
Andrew originally started the company in 1980 with his wife Stella.
Moving from strength to strength throughout the years and known for his extensive knowledge in the industry by customers and fellow engineers alike.
Andrew now works on a 'over-run' basis and you will know that he is in due to his beautiful dog Flo being at our Hove shop - She is very friendly! (She might give you a woof until she knows who you are!)
Stella Dorrington
Senior Admin
Stella started the company with Andrew and originally ran the business from the family home prior to the shops opening.
Stella prides herself on offering incredible customer service and always has done. Often complimented by knowing customers names and addresses just from a voice on the phone or seeing someone at the shop. Truly cares about our customers and has done for over 40 years!
Daniel Aston
Engineer
Daniel has a friendly attitude and is extremely approachable.
Daniel is incredibly experienced in the industry with over 10 years of experience in both commercial and domestic works.
Daniels field of expertise is gas works including boiler works but is skilled in carrying out all forms of plumbing work.
Also highly skilled from an installation perspective, Daniel takes time and makes an effort to ensure any installation he is doing is not only functional but is neat and futureproofed to allow for sensible solutions if any future upgrades are required.
Abigail Morgan
Social Media Manager
Abigail (Rachel's daughter) joined the team in 2025. You will find her posting on our socials, updating them with our recent work and special offers! As well as helping out in the offices with admin work.
Abigail is friendly and will always greet you with a welcoming smile.
Henry Brigden
Engineer
Henry joined our team in 2023 and although still young Henry has achieved alot in a small time frame. Winning the 'Steve Willis 2026 Apprenticeship Award for Gas recognition of achievement' Henry has shown that he is already excelling against his peers.
Trained by Matthew, Daniel and Andrew, Henry has had the benefit of over 70 years of engineering experience on tap to learn from and is now a skilled engineer in his own right.
Henry is always friendly, eager to learn and helpful.
Damian Hickman
Bathroom Fitter/General Plumber
Damian was originally friends with Matthew for many years prior to working together.
Damian worked with Matthew for several years, learning from Matthew while working together. That was in 2012!
Damian now specialises in Bathroom and Kitchen renovations with an incredible eye for detail, skilled craftsmanship and a friendly, approachable attitude.
